Old MedChem Feature Molecules
MedChem Feature Molecule is a service provided by the faculty and students of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. As the name implies, approximately each month we will post original up to date articles on medicinal agents with new and/or exciting pharmacological profiles. Although the articles will be technically accurate, often dealing with agents with which we have direct research experience, an effort will be made to use non-technical language where possible. Thus, we hope to make this an informative and accurate compendium of new agents of general interest to the specialist and non-specialist alike. Golden Oldies |

To view the pages: In many of the pages, the images of the structures are linked the PDB (Protein Data BanK) files of the molecules. These PDB files are atomic coordinates in three-dimensional space. Simply click on the image of the molecule and, if your browser is configured to read these files, a window of the "3D" molecule will appear. Some Feature Molecule articles have embedded 3D images within the web page. These require CHIME. Please see below for more information about these 3D images.
